Mind-blowing orgasms had to be natureâs form of the perfect sedative. Iâd barely broken a sweat before Braeden interrupted my training session with Ren and had gotten a great nightâs sleep, but Iâd still passed out after two rounds of amazing sex. Taking a nap with my destined consortâs arms wrapped around me was my new favorite thingâbehind making love with him, of course.
I had a sneaking suspicion that âloveâ was the apt word in that phrase...and not just on my part. Iâd been half out of my mind with pleasure when Braeden had called me âmy love.â If I hadnât been distracted, I mightâve freaked out over how quickly things were moving between us. Not with the physical stuffâI was more than okay with losing my virginity less than twenty-four hours after meeting Braeden. I hadnât expected my emotions to be involved quite so much this quickly, but there was no denying my feelings for my destined consort were already growing by leaps and bounds.
âOur second start to the day is a fuck of a lot better than the first,â Braeden murmured, his arms tightening around me. âThis is how I want to wake up every night from now until eternity.â
âWe couldâve experienced this sooner if I hadnât rushed away earlier without waking you up.â I rolled over and brushed my lips against his. âIâm so sorry.â
âYou already apologized, baby. No need to do it again.â His kiss was no quick graze of his mouth, like mine had been. Instead, one of his hands cradled the back of my head while his tongue swept inside. He didnât lift his head again until I was breathless. âJust promise me youâll never leave me alone in this bed again.â
I flashed him a playful grin. âNot even to go to the bathroom?â
âNo exceptions. Thatâs what never means,â he confirmed with a rueful smile. âMaybe in a hundred years, Iâll be okay waking up without you.â
Any insecurities he was feeling about us were my fault, and I didnât know how to fix them. He would only be truly reassured by claiming me, but I was nowhere ready to take that step. All I could do for now was avoid doing anything to add to his uncertainty. âThen I promise to wake you up anytime I need to leave the bed, no matter the reason. And in a hundred years, Iâll check to see if youâre ready to lift the restriction.â
âRemind me to kiss you before asking you for favors in the future.â He captured my mouth again and didnât let up until I rocked my pussy against his hard length in an attempt to relieve the ache between my legs. âIt makes you much more agreeable.â
I couldnât argue with that logic. His kisses had the power to scramble my brain...and so did his bossiness. âYou didnât really ask. It was more like a command.â
âWhat can I say?â he asked, mischievousness gleaming in his bright blue eyes. âYou proved how well you take orders
